On April 26, in Reyadh of Saudi Arabia, The Owner of Saudi YAMAMA Cement Plant Project held a tripartite meeting for the contract coming into force. In the meeting, Germany TKIS (the General Contractor) and Saudi YAMAMA Cement Company (the Owner) signed the confirmation letter for the contract coming into force. Germany TKIS (the General Contractor) officially delivered the notification letter for the contract coming into force to MCC5. This indicated that MCC5’s largest overseas industrial project contract had come into force and it was a big step for MCC5’s overseas market development. The Chinese attendants are:Mr. Wang Zhongxu (Vice General Manager of MCC5 Group Shanghai Corp. Ltd.), Mr. Zhang Zhan (Manager of MCC Saudi Branch Company), Mr. Shu Zhenli (MCC5’s Project Manager of Saudi YAMAMA Cement Plant Project, etc.);The German attendants are: Mr.Jurgen Dietrich (TKIS’s Project Manager for YAMAMA Cement Plant Project,Mr. Albers (TKIS’s Civil Work Manager), Mr. Rolf Schafer (TKIS’s Project Executive Manager), Mr. Dietmar Collin (TKIS’s Contract Manager), etc; The Saudi attendants are:Mr. Jehad Al rasheed (CEO of YAMAMA Cement Plant),Mr. Al Theeb Suliman Mohammed N (YAMAMA Project Manager),Mr. Ali Sweilem Aljarab\'ah (YAMAMA Project Executive Manager),etc.
At the signing ceremony, Mr. Jehad Al rasheed (CEO of YAMAMA Cement Plant) warmly welcomed the delegation from Germany TKIS and the delegation from MCC5. He introduced about the development history of Saudi YAMAMA Cement Plant and proposed some requirements for the safety, quality and schedule of the new project. He spoke highly of Germany TKIS’s team and MCC5’s team. He also expected that each party will be successful in the cooperation of YAMAMA Cement Plant Project.
Saudi YAMAMA Cement Plant was established in 1961. It is the second largest cement plant in Saudi Arabia. At present time, it has annual production capacity of 6,300,000t. In consideration of environmental protection, this plant will be moved from Riyadh to Jidda which is 80KM in the east of Riyadh. MCC5’s scope of work mainly includes two newly-built 10000t/d clinker cement production lines. The construction covers the civil work, steel structure fabrication and erection, M & E equipment erection, pipework, refractory work, insulation work, plant roads, etc.
