At 10:48 AM of June 28, 2017, along with the commencement instruction by Mr. Zhi Xiwei (vice general manager of Baosteel)，MCC5 formally started the construction of Baosteel #1 & #2 sintering overhaul and renovation project, which has the largest sintering area in China. The following people witnessed this historic moment: Mr. Tianshun (Vice General Manager of MCC5 Group and General Manager of MCC5 Group Shanghai Corp. Ltd.), Mr. Ni Zhishou (Vice General Manager of MCC5 Group Shanghai Corp. Ltd.), the relative leaders from the Client, design company and supervision company, and more than 150 employees.
     Baosteel #1 & #2 sintering machines were separately put into production in 1985 and 1992. After a long time, the equipment has deteriorated and the energy saving & emission reduction technology is in a backward state. Therefore, Baosteel decided to make overhaul and renovation for #1 & #2 sintering machines: Firstly remove the existing #1 & #2 sintering machines and then build a 600m2 sintering machine and supporting dedusting & sieving facilities, as well as the supporting dust granulation system and flue gas purification system.

The renovated sintering machine will adopt advanced, mature, stable and reliable process to guarantee process equipment and automatic control to reach domestic Class-A level and international advanced level. It will improve production capacity, lower energy consumption, decrease emission of air pollutants such as particles, sulfur dioxide, nitrogen oxides, fluorides and dioxins, and improve area environment & working environment.（Reported by: Wang Chenghui）
