In order to welcome the New Year 2018 and present the new things of new period, CCTV Financial Channel CCTV2 will broadcast the live special program titled “New Year and New World” on the evening of December 31st, 2017. The broadcasting time is 2017 December 31st 20: 00 to 2018 January 1st 0: 40. As an important part of this TV program, CCTV has selected four major influential projects with great significance at home and abroad (each of which will be broadcasted for about 5 minutes) out of nearly 3000 pieces of source material submitted by the SASAC system. Recommended by Propaganda Department of MCC Party Committee, MCC’S Malaysia W hotel project was successfully selected and put together with the Antarctic Scientific Investigation Project, Addisababa-Djibouti Railway and Important Projects in Egypt to celebrate the New Year at home and abroad. The W Hotel project in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia will be broadcasted live at around 10:20 on December 31st.
The W Hotel Project is located in the heart of Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, next to the world-famous Petronas Towers. The project is an active promotion of "Belt and Road" Initiative by MCC and is the key benchmarking project built in the country along the route. The project is contracted by MCC Overseas Malaysia Branch and constructed by China MCC3 Group Corp. Ltd. The project is a complex building project with a famous five-star hotel and high-grade service apartment buildings. The total height of the building is 235m. It is the first super high-rise building exceeding 200m undertaken by MCC Overseas in foreign country. On June 15th, 2017, MCC Overseas was awarded the general contracting project of Kempinski Hotel in Kuala Lumpur, which was developed by Malaysia KSK Group. Until Kempinski Hotel is completed, MCC will set a new record of the height of building undertaken by construction general contracting in foreign country. It will become a new landmark of Malaysia and will also highlight MCC brand in the construction market of Malaysia. This will create a new situation for MCC in the "Belt and Road" market.
